What I do
I am Nicky Mitnick, a freelance web designer and developer. I live and work in Dénia on the Spanish coast, and most of my clients are somewhere else: in the Netherlands, in Germany or elsewhere in Europe. I design and build websites, webshops and web apps, and I make sure they can be found in Google and in AI answers.
You work with one person from the first call to the launch. No account manager in between, no handoff to a junior developer: you talk to the person who builds your site.
How remote work goes
Distance makes no difference to the work itself. We start with a 30-minute video call about your goals, your customers and your budget. You then get a fixed scope, price and timeline in writing. During the build you follow progress on a preview link, so you can see the real site, not screenshots. Feedback goes by email, WhatsApp or a short call, whatever suits you.
I reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, and work in Central European Time, the same time zone as the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
In your language
I work in Dutch, English, Spanish and German, so the conversation and the site texts can be in your own language. A site can have up to five languages from the start, each with its own URLs and the right hreflang tags, so Google shows the right version to the right visitor.
What you get
- A custom site in code that you fully own, with no page-builder lock-in
- Design and development by the same person
- Technical SEO and structured data from day one, so search engines and AI assistants understand what you offer
- Fast hosting on Cloudflare, or Shopify for stores
- A handover at launch, so you can edit your content yourself
Websites start from €1,500 and take 1 to 8 weeks, depending on the size. Shopify work starts from €2,500.
Remote work in practice
SkinSmooth By Irma is a beauty salon in Twello in the Netherlands, a client I work for from Dénia. Zorg Intelligence is care administration software for Dutch carers that I conceived and develop for a Dutch client. Denia Print, a product of my own studio Olla Tropic, shows what a five-language site with a live price calculator looks like.
